I once bought a used 486 which was running Windows 3.1.1 and I found this little game in the start menu. I have no idea who wrote it.
The game is ridiculously simple, but rather satisfying to those who really hate Barney, and I know there's quite a few people who really hate him.
Barney runs around at random across your desktop. He also pops in and out whenever he feels like it. Meanwhile, you try to catch him and click on him with your mouse pointer, which has turned into a wooden match. If you can click him, he catches fire and dies. The object is to burn as many Barneys as you can before the timer runs out.
It was amusing when I first tried it, but it wasn't worth copying to my next computer. It's long gone from my collection.
